Life Insurance Agent — Clermont

Independent contractor (1099)  ·  Commission-based; earnings vary  ·  Clermont, FL

The short version: Serve families in Clermont, Minneola and south Lake County. Commission-based 1099 work, a mentor in your first appointments, licensing guidance, and no lead fees, ever.

Working in Clermont

Clermont is one of the few places in Florida with hills — and one of its fastest-growing towns. Between the lakes around Lake Minneola, the neighborhoods along US-27 and SR-50, and the new subdivisions heading south toward Four Corners, a lot of young families have moved here in the last few years.

Many of those families commute into Orlando, which makes evenings and weekends the natural time to sit down together. It's a community that values family time, and an agent who respects it — and does the job right the first time — earns referrals.

SR-50, US-27, Florida's Turnpike and the SR-429 extension link Clermont to the rest of the metro; the team trains in Apopka, up the 429.

Around Clermont

Clermont is in south Lake County, on the western edge of the Orlando metro, about where the suburbs start giving way to open country, groves and lakes. It's known for something rare in Florida: hills. The ridge country around Clermont and nearby Sugarloaf Mountain draws cyclists and runners, and the historic Citrus Tower on US-27 is a reminder of the area's orange-grove past. The city sits on the Clermont Chain of Lakes, with Lake Minneola and its Waterfront Park along the north side of downtown.

Nearby communities include Minneola and Montverde to the north, Groveland and Mascotte to the west, and the fast-growing area south along US-27 toward Four Corners, where Lake, Osceola, Orange and Polk counties meet. Winter Garden and Horizon West are just east over the county line. The South Lake Trail links Clermont to the West Orange Trail, so you can ride from the Clermont lakefront all the way to Winter Garden and beyond.

On the road, SR-50 is the main route east toward Winter Garden and Orlando, US-27 runs north-south through the area, and Florida's Turnpike has an interchange in Minneola, just north of Clermont. Getting into Orlando usually means SR-50, the Turnpike or SR-429, so learning when traffic is lightest helps you plan a day of appointments around the commute.

Some of the work never leaves the house. Exam study, appointment prep and follow-up calls are desk work that agents in Clermont can do from home, which saves trips across the county line and keeps the driving for the appointments that matter.

The role

Maxivita is hiring life insurance agents in Clermont. You meet with local families, assess what protection they need, and place real coverage — with a producing mentor beside you in your first appointments.

Structure: independent contractor (1099), commission-based. Commission is earned on policies you place; advances, renewals, and chargebacks are explained plainly before you contract. Earnings vary and no income is guaranteed.

Not licensed yet? Most people who join Maxivita aren't. A Florida 2-15 Life & Health license is required to sell, and we guide you through the licensing process from day one.

What Maxivita provides: mentor-led field training, a multi-carrier product shelf, full comp-grid transparency before you sign, a production-first path toward running your own agency — and we never sell leads to our agents.

Requirements: 18+, able to obtain a Florida life insurance license (background check applies), coachable, fully committed (this is not a side hustle), and reliable transportation.

Before you apply anywhere (including here), read how the money actually works: how commissions are paid and what chargebacks are. We'd rather you walk in with clear eyes.
