Working in Ocoee / Winter Garden
West Orange County has been one of the fastest-growing parts of Central Florida: new neighborhoods across Horizon West, families moving into Ocoee off Clarke Road and Maguire, and the busy downtown along Winter Garden's Plant Street and the West Orange Trail.
New homes usually mean new mortgages and new babies — the two moments families most often realize they're under-protected. Learning to help a young family size coverage to an actual mortgage and actual kids, instead of a round number, is a big part of the training.
SR-429, SR-408 and Florida's Turnpike make West Orange easy to work, and Apopka — where the team trains — is just up the 429.
Around Ocoee & Winter Garden
Ocoee and Winter Garden sit side by side in West Orange County, between Lake Apopka to the north and the chain of lakes around Windermere to the south. Winter Garden's downtown along Plant Street grew up as a citrus town, and the West Orange Trail now runs straight through it. Ocoee, just east, wraps around Starke Lake and stretches from the Clarke Road corridor out toward the Turnpike.
The surrounding communities are a big part of the territory: Horizon West, the large planned area south of Winter Garden; Windermere and Gotha to the southeast; Oakland and Killarney to the west toward the Lake County line; and Pine Hills and MetroWest to the east on the way into Orlando. Apopka, where the team trains, is a short drive north, which keeps team meetings and ride-alongs close to home for agents who live on the west side.
For getting around, SR-50 (West Colonial Drive) runs east-west through both cities, SR-408 begins near Ocoee and heads into downtown Orlando, Florida's Turnpike cuts through the area, and SR-429 (the Western Beltway) runs north-south along its west side, toward Apopka in one direction and south toward I-4 in the other. The West Orange Trail links Winter Garden and Ocoee to Oakland and Apopka by bike path, and the lakes and parks along it are where a lot of local families spend their weekends.
Not every part of the job is done in the field. Exam study, appointment prep and follow-up calls are desk work, and agents here often handle them from home before afternoon and evening appointments.
The role
Maxivita is hiring life insurance agents in Ocoee / Winter Garden. You meet with local families, assess what protection they need, and place real coverage — with a producing mentor beside you in your first appointments.
Structure: independent contractor (1099), commission-based. Commission is earned on policies you place; advances, renewals, and chargebacks are explained plainly before you contract. Earnings vary and no income is guaranteed.
Not licensed yet? Most people who join Maxivita aren't. A Florida 2-15 Life & Health license is required to sell, and we guide you through the licensing process from day one.
What Maxivita provides: mentor-led field training, a multi-carrier product shelf, full comp-grid transparency before you sign, a production-first path toward running your own agency — and we never sell leads to our agents.
Requirements: 18+, able to obtain a Florida life insurance license (background check applies), coachable, fully committed (this is not a side hustle), and reliable transportation.
Before you apply anywhere (including here), read how the money actually works: how commissions are paid and what chargebacks are. We'd rather you walk in with clear eyes.
