Kissimmee and the rest of Osceola County have grown into one of the largest Puerto Rican and Latino communities in Florida — Buenaventura Lakes, Poinciana, Campbell City, the neighborhoods along US-192 and John Young Parkway. Around Kissimmee
Kissimmee is the seat of Osceola County, on the north shore of Lake Tohopekaliga (Lake Toho), part of the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes that feeds the Kissimmee River on its long run south toward Lake Okeechobee. Boat ramps, fishing piers and the lakefront trail make the shoreline one of the city's gathering places. Downtown along Broadway and the lakefront park has the older, small-town feel, while the US-192 corridor to the west is all hotels, restaurants and attractions heading toward Celebration and the theme parks.
The communities around it make up much of what people call Kissimmee: Buenaventura Lakes and Hunter's Creek to the north, St. Cloud to the east, Poinciana to the south, Celebration to the west, and Four Corners and ChampionsGate out by I-4 near the Polk and Lake county lines. Each has its own mix of long-time residents, new subdivisions and vacation homes, so no two days of appointments look quite the same.
Getting around, US-192 (Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway) is the east-west spine, John Young Parkway and US-441/17-92 run north into Orlando, the Osceola Parkway toll road connects to the attractions and SR-417, and Florida's Turnpike has an interchange right in town. SunRail stops at downtown Kissimmee, in Poinciana and at Meadow Woods on the way north, and Amtrak also stops at the downtown Kissimmee station.
Shift work along the 192 corridor means appointments often land in the evening. The desk side of the work, such as exam study, prep and follow-up calls, fits into the daytime and can be done from home.
The role
Maxivita is hiring life insurance agents in Kissimmee. You meet with local families, assess what protection they need, and place real coverage — with a producing mentor beside you in your first appointments.
Structure: independent contractor (1099), commission-based. Commission is earned on policies you place; advances, renewals, and chargebacks are explained plainly before you contract. Earnings vary and no income is guaranteed.
