Around Sanford
Sanford is the seat of Seminole County, on the south shore of Lake Monroe where the St. Johns River widens on its way north. The Sanford Riverwalk follows the lakefront, and the historic downtown along First Street sits a few blocks back from the water. The city's history as a river port and celery-farming town still shows in its older brick buildings and grid of streets.
It's also a transportation hub. Orlando Sanford International Airport is on the east side of town, Amtrak's Auto Train runs from its terminal here to the Washington, D.C. area, and SunRail has a stop in Sanford. Nearby communities include Lake Mary and Heathrow to the southwest, Winter Springs and Oviedo to the south and southeast, Geneva to the east, and DeBary and Deltona across the river in Volusia County.
On the road, I-4 crosses the St. Johns at the north end of town, SR-46 runs east-west through Sanford toward Geneva and Mount Dora, US-17/92 runs south toward Longwood and Winter Park, and SR-417 begins here and loops down the east side of the metro toward the Orlando airport. Most of Seminole County is a short drive from downtown Sanford, and the Riverwalk and the parks along Lake Monroe give the city plenty of green space between neighborhoods. Downtown fills up on weekends with people heading to the waterfront, the restaurants on First Street and the shops in the old brick storefronts.
Some of the work doesn't need a car at all. Exam study, appointment prep and follow-up calls are desk work that agents in Sanford can do from home before heading out to evening appointments.
The role

Structure: independent contractor (1099), commission-based. Commission is earned on policies you place; advances, renewals, and chargebacks are explained plainly before you contract. Earnings vary and no income is guaranteed.
